제 85회 아카데미 시상식 주제곡 부문 경쟁곡 75개 곡 리스트

AMPAS(The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences)가 제 85회 아카데미 시상식 주제곡 부문 경쟁곡 75개 곡을 발표했다. 오늘 공개된 75개 곡은 "영화를 위해 제작된 완전한 오리지날 곡으로, 가사가 있어야 하며 노래가 영화 중간에 흘러나오거나 엔드 크레딧 첫 번째 곡으로 나와야 한다"는 등의 아카데미상 주제곡 부문 후보 자격 조건에 모두 부합하는 곡들이다.

이번에 발표된 75개 곡들은 주제곡 부문 노미네이션을 받기 위해 경쟁하게 되며, 이들 중 5개 곡만이 아카데미 노미네이션을 받는다.

아카데미상 주제곡 부문에 노미네이트될 5개 곡은 2013년 1월10일 아침 5시(미국 서부시간)에 발표된다.

그리고, 그 중 한 곡이 2013년 2월24일 오스카 트로피를 들어올린다.

과연 이번엔 어느 곡이 아카데미상을 받을까?

아직 후보곡이 다섯 곡으로 좁혀지지 않았으므로 어느 곡이 노미네이션을 받을 지 알 수 없는 상태다. 그래도 후보곡을 몇 곡 꼽아보기로 하자.

아무래도 첫 번째 후보는 007 시리즈 23탄 주제곡 '스카이폴(Skyfall)'이 될 듯 하다. 007 시리즈 주제곡으론 대단히 인상적이진 않았지만 영국 팝스타 아델(Adele)이 부른 '스카이폴'은 최종 후보 5개 곡에 분명히 포함될 것으로 예상된다.

많은 본드팬들은 아델이 이번에 아카데미 주제곡상을 받길 기원하고 있다. 007 시리즈 50주년 기념 피날레로 아카데미 주제곡상을 받는다면 멋질 것 같아서다. 또한, 과거에 아카데미가 훌륭한 제임스 본드 시리즈 주제곡들을 지명조차 하지 않는 용서받기 어려운 죄(?)를 저질렀던 만큼 속죄(??)하는 의미에서 '스카이폴'에 상을 주는 것도 나쁘지 않을 듯 하다.

그럼 아델이 부른 '스카이폴'을 들어보자.

현실적으로 따져보면 만만치 않은 경쟁곡들이 꽤 있다.

첫 번째 경쟁 상대는 돌리 파튼(Dolly Parton)이 부른 'From Here to the Moon and Back'이다. 영화 '조이풀 노이즈(Joyful Noise)' 삽입곡인 'From Here to the Moon and Back'은 잔잔하고 로맨틱한, 아카데미가 좋아할 만한 스타일의 곡이므로 최종 후보 5개 곡에 포함될 것으로 예상된다.

보컬이 다름아닌 돌리 파튼이란 점도 이 곡의 수상 가능성을 높힌다. 'From Here to the Moon and Back'은 아카데미 주제곡상 수상 가능성이 가장 높은 곡 중 하나로 꼽힌다.

한 번 들어보자.


또 하나의 만만치 않은 경쟁곡이 있다면, 그것은 휴 잭맨(Hugh Jackman)이 부른 'Suddenly'다. 뮤지컬 영화 '레미제라블(Les Misérables)'은 스테이지 뮤지컬을 영화로 옮긴 작품이라서 음악이 큰 비중을 차지하는 뮤지컬 영화임에도 불구하고 음악 부문에선 아카데미 노미네이션과 거리가 멀어 보였다. 그러나 영화를 위해 새로 만든 'Suddenly'라는 곡을 휴 잭맨(장 발장)이 영화에서 부르면서 아카데미 주제곡 부문 노미네이트가 가능할 것으로 보인다.

휴 잭맨의 'Suddenly' 역시 최종 후보 5곡에 포함될 것으로 예상되며, 이 곡이 아카데미 주제곡상을 받을 것으로 기대하는 사람들도 많다.


다섯 곡 중 세 곡은 이렇게 정해질 가능성이 커 보인다.

플로렌스(Florence + The Machine)가 부른 '스노우 화이트 앤 더 헌츠맨(Snow White and the Huntsman)' 주제곡 'Breath of Life'도 탑5에 포함될 가능성이 있어 보인다.


아직 노미네이션 리스트도 나오지 않았으므로 일단 위의 75개 후보곡 중 어느 곡이 아카데미 주제곡 부문 노미네이션을 받는 지 먼저 지켜보기로 하자.
